    3. Reference your listing on SharpCar.com on your car sign.
    4. Connect with a buyer.
    5. Transfer the title.
  2. Is it necessary for me to hire an attorney in order to sell my own car?

    No, in most areas of the United States an owner, working alone can and will completely handle a car sale transaction. Of course, it is always up to you to decide whether to retain an attorney to represent you in the sale.

    2. If you know the SharpCar.com ID# of the car you're looking for you can enter it on the Search Vehicles page and immediately view the vehicle.

    1. You can contact SharpCar.com with questions or comments, 24 hours a day, seven days a week by sending email to info@sharpcar.com.
    2. You also can call, toll free, 1-877-448-6370, Monday through Friday between the hours of 9am and 5pm eastern time.
  6. I received a fraudulent or Spam e-mail through my listing. What do I do?
    1. First, don't respond to the email.
    2. Second, forward the email to SharpCar.com customer service at info@sharpcar.com.
  7. Help! I am having trouble logging in.
    1. Check to be sure that you're using the correct username and password. Your username is your email address.
    2. If you've forgotten your password please use our password recovery functionality. You can find it by clicking here: Password Recovery.
    3. If that doesn't work please forward your name and Vehicle ID number to info@sharpcar.com and request a new username and password.
  8. Can I get notifications of new cars for sale?
    1. Yes, you can sign up to receive email updates of new cars that have been added to SharpCar.com that fit your search criteria.

  9. How much does it cost to advertise on your web site?
    1. A SharpCar.com listing is offered at no charge with the purchase of a Hy-Ko text messaging sign. The listing will expire at the end of 12 months from listing date.
    2. SharpCar.com also offers 3 other package choices. Our first offer is a seven day free trial. If you choose this package and do not cancel your service before the end of the seven days, you will be automatically enrolled in our second package.   10. Will I be able to sell my own car with help from SharpCar.com?
    1. Yes, chances are that if you use SharpCar.com in conjunction with one of our high visibility signs (available for purchase at your local Walmart, Home Depot, Ace Hardware, True Value, Do It Best, and others), price your car correctly and give the process time to work you will succeed.
    2. By combining our signs with our web presence we will market your car to thousands of potential buyers.
  11. How do I place an ad on SharpCar.com?
    1. Simply click “Sell Your Vehicle” at the top of any page on our website: www.SharpCar.com.
    2. You will be shown a chart that explains our packages and their prices.
    3. Click select and you will be walk through the process of creating an advertisement for your Vehicle.
    4. The process is easy and usually takes no more than ten minutes.
  12. How many people will see my ad?
    1. It is impossible for us to know how many people will click on your ad because it depends upon so many variables—make, model, price, location, et cetera.
    2. However the SharpCar.com process markets your car to a very wide population of potential buyers. We add your listing to Google, Oodle, Facebook and other websites. This makes your vehicle available to thousands of potential buyers. Only SharpCar.com offers distribution on this scale.
    3. Also, our site is designed to work in conjunction with our signs, which are an important way to market your car to passersby.

  13. What types of vehicles can be sold on SharpCar.com?

    You can sell any type of vehicle on SharpCar.com. Generally speaking we specialize in selling passenger vehicles, but we have no prohibition against listing commercial vehicles.

  14. Can I pay for my listing with a check or money order? Can I pay in installments?

    No, we only accept credit cards for payment at this time and we aren't able to accept payment in installments.

  15. Do you offer discounts for listing in volume? I am a dealer with many cars to sell.

    Yes, we offer generous volume discounts. If you're interested in listing multiple properties simply email your request to info@sharpcar.com.

  16. Who will show my car?

    You will be responsible for showing your vehicle to interested buyers and real estate agents.

  17. How many photos can I post on SharpCar.com?

    You can post ten photos to your advertisement.

  18. Can I purchase your products in a retail store?
    1. Yes, SharpCar.com auto for sale signs can be found in most retail outlets providing automobile improvement goods and services. Those store include Walmart, Home Depot, Ace Hardware, True Value, Do It Best, and others.

  19. How do I cancel my listing?

    You can cancel your ad on SharpCar.com at any time. Simply login to your Seller Admin using your username and password and then click on Cancel my Listing.

  20. How do I edit my ad? How often can I edit my ad?

    You can edit your vehicle for sale listing on SharpCar.com at any time and you can make an unlimited number of edits at no charge. Simply login to your Seller Admin using your username and password and then click on Edit my Listing.

  21. How do I find out how many times my ad has been viewed?

    You can view the number of times your vehicle has been viewed by prospective buyers at any time. Simply login to your Seller Admin using your username and password and you'll see it with the rest of your listing's details on your account page.

  22. How do I reply to an e-mail from a potential buyer?

    Email from potential buyers will be delivered directly to your inbox. You can reply directly to interested parties.

  23. Can you help me upload my photos?

    Yes, email info@sharpcar.com and a member of our customer service team will assist you.

  24. What is the best photo to use for my Main Photo?

    SharpCar.com recommends that sellers use a clear, exterior image of their vehicle, taken on a sunny day, as their primary photo.

  25. I replaced a photo on my ad with a new photo but I can still see the old one, why?

    Often times it is necessary for sellers to hit the refresh button on their browser in order to see their new photo appear.

  26. When and how do I post photos of my vehicle?
    1. After a vehicle listing is successfully input into the SharpCar.com database the seller will receive instructions on how to upload photos of the vehicle. The photo upload process is quick and easy, but it is necessary to have digital images of the vehicle. Photos can be added and deleted or altered whenever the seller chooses over the lifetime of the vehicle advertisement.
    2. To add, delete or edit photos simply login in to the Seller Admin and click on Edit Photos.
  27. How can I protect myself from fraudulent offers and scams?
    1. Be alert and watch for spam. Spam is unwanted or unsolicited emails advertising goods or services for sale. If you're concerned about any communication you've received from a buyer or seller on SharpCar.com please forward the communication to SharpCar.com at info@sharpcar.com or you can call toll free 1-877-448-6370, Monday through Friday between the hours of 9am and 5pm eastern standard time.

  29. Why does SharpCar.com need my credit card for the 7 Day Free Trial?
    1. We ask for your credit card for the following reasons:
      1. to insure that we're getting quality listings and accurate data; and
      2. to insure we're paid if your listing runs for longer than 7 days.
    2. Your card will not be charged at all until after seven days have passed, and we will send you a reminder email one day before your free trial expires.
